Supporting Big Emotions
If your child is experiencing frequent outbursts, intense anger, or struggles with emotional regulation, play therapy offers a safe, physical space to process and release that tension safely.
A safe, consistent space to make sense of big feelings.
Navigating big emotions or changes in a child's behaviour can sometimes feel challenging. At The Play Lab, we provide a safe, consistent environment where your child can use the natural language of play to process their experiences, explore their feelings, and build lasting resilience.

Looking beneath the surface.
If your child is experiencing frequent outbursts, intense anger, or struggles with emotional regulation, play therapy offers a safe, physical space to process and release that tension safely.
If your child is struggling with persistent worries, separation difficulties, school reluctance, or has become unusually quiet and withdrawn, we work on rebuilding their inner security.
We support children who are processing major family transitions and disruptions, including family separation or divorce, parental imprisonment, or moving to a new care environment.
Play therapy provides a gentle, non-verbal way for children to explore and heal from profound experiences such as bereavement, significant loss, abuse, or early childhood adversity.

Toys, art materials, and sand act as a child's vocabulary.
The Play Lab is a dedicated space where toys, art materials, and sand act as a child's vocabulary. This setup allows them to express complex thoughts, anxieties, and experiences at their own pace, within a safe and consistent boundary.
Three simple steps.
Step 1
We meet without your child present to discuss your current situation, your child's history, and to ensure play therapy is the right approach.
Step 2
Consistency is vital for children. Sessions take place at the same time and on the same day each week, lasting for 50 minutes.
Step 3
Every 6 to 8 sessions, we meet to discuss progress, share insights, and collaborate on how to support your child outside of The Play Lab.
